It is good to be back out on the road waving our Freak Flags and spreading the good word. We had the great privilege of kicking off Minnesota Recruiter Conference #12 on Friday morning and really enjoyed hanging out with the lovely and talented Paul DeBettignies and some of the other folks that are a part of that groovy recruiting community.
We had a bit of snow to drive through on the way home, but after that it was smooth sailing. While making the trek home we were also able to connect with John Jorgensen who let us know that we had been selected to deliver a keynote for the 2011 IL SHRM conference. We are really, really, really jazzed about this gig. Ryan Estis and China Gorman are also delivering keynotes. We are fans of both and after sharing the stage with China at RecruitFest and the HR Reinvention Experiment we very much look forward to doing so again. Congress could probably learn something about “reaching across the aisle” from John Jorgensen…he is a Hawkeye fan, Jason and I are both Cyclone fans…and he still wants us to come to IL SHRM!
We are looking forward to having a book out this coming year, and it is nice to start putting some stuff on the calendar as well. We are looking forward to HRevolution in Atlanta, and we are also very excited to be taking our social capital message to the SHRM 2011 Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
Plenty of other stuff we hope to get on the calendar, but 2011 is off to a good start. Hope to see you on the road!
